Didactic Component
The Transitional Medicine Residency provides multiple didactic conferences for information mastery. There are many facets to the conferences and their variety provides an interesting and diverse experience that complements the clinical training at Lehigh Valley Health Network.
The didactic conferences are scheduled every day from 12p-1p and on Wednesdays from 12p-3p (protected education time). These conferences include the following broad range of presentations: Core subspecialty lectures (annual lecture series), Presentations provided by residents, Medical Grand Rounds, Resident Report, Journal Club, Show & Tell, Schwartz Rounds, Resident Development seminars, Morbidity & Mortality conference and many subspecialty and special lectures. See didactic links for more information.
There is also a supplemental ambulatory didactic series scheduled weekly for when the Transitional Resident is on their Ambulatory block. This session occurs at the 17th street on Wednesday afternoon from 1p-3p and consists of a three year rotating cycle of common ambulatory topics. Given the scheduling format for the Categorical residents, this session is available for Transitional residents once during their ambulatory block.
All presentations available to residents at any time.
