Annual Lecture Series
The annual lecture series consists of subspecialty lectures scheduled six times on a monthly basis. These lectures are didactic and case based depending on the topic. They are given by the core subspecialty teaching attendings and where applicable, the subspecialty fellows. The following scheduling format is generally followed for these core lectures:

July - Orientation series for Interns - Presentations provided by Senior residents on topics common to being "On-Call".

August - Cardiology Focus - General issues related to Cardiology as well as EKG interpretation and perioperative Cardiovascular care.

September - Pulmonary Focus - General issues related to Pulmonary as well as PFT analysis and ABG review.

October - Nephrology Focus - General issues related to Nephrology as well as electrolyte dysfunction.

November - Infectious Disease Focus - General issues related to ID, including organism focus and medication review.

December - Endocrinology Focus - General issues related to Endocrinology.

January - Hematology / Oncology Focus - General issues related to Heme/Onc in addition to a palliative care review.

February - Rheumatology Focus - General issues related to Rheumatology in addition to case reports demonstrating classic presentations of common Rheumatologic diseases.

March - Neurology Focus - General issues related to Neurology and Neuromuscular disorders.

April - Gastroenterology Focus - General issues related to Gastroenterology in addition to GI imaging.
